A place for the rituals that warm a home.

Some objects quietly support the moments you look forward to.

The Mission Firewood Holder gives the everyday ritual of building a fire the same care as the fire itself. Its sweeping bent plywood form cradles a generous stack of logs while turning something usually hidden into part of the room. Whether it holds firewood beside the hearth, extra blankets in the living room, or a favorite collection of magazines, it transforms storage into something worth displaying.

Like all Ciseal objects, it's designed to earn its place in your home—not simply by being useful, but by making the ordinary feel a little more intentional.

Each Mission Firewood Holder is handmade to order in my Leonard, Michigan studio. I begin with seven layers of sustainably harvested wood veneer, carefully layering, gluing, molding, trimming, sanding, and finishing each one by hand. The bent plywood construction creates a remarkably strong yet lightweight form, while solid brass feet lift the piece just enough to give it a quiet sense of presence.

The natural oil finish is hand-rubbed to enhance the warmth and character of the wood while providing a durable, water- and stain-resistant surface that's made to age beautifully alongside the home it lives in.
